DMCA Policy
House by the Video Store respects the intellectual property rights of others. We publish original articles and guides on home design, vintage decor, and retro living. We expect our users and contributors to do the same. This policy outlines our procedures for addressing alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”).
We are committed to removing infringing material when properly notified. We also provide a mechanism for individuals to submit counter-notifications if they believe their content was removed by mistake.

- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

Please send your DMCA takedown notice to our Designated Copyright Agent at: [email protected].
DMCA Counter-Notification
If you believe that your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to our Designated Copyright Agent. This process allows you to dispute the copyright infringement claim. Your counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location (URL) where the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material.
- Your name, address, and telephone number.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which House by the Video Store may be found. You must also state that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we may forward a copy to the original complaining party. We will then restore the content within 10 to 14 business days unless we receive notice that the complaining party has filed a court action seeking a court order to restrain the user from engaging in infringing activity.

We take copyright infringement seriously. Users found to repeatedly submit infringing material, whether it’s text, images of retro furniture, or design ideas, will have their accounts or privileges terminated.
